Brookland Greens (Melbourne, VIC)
Brookland Greens Private Estate is an established community in Cranbourne, located some 45 kilometres south-east of Melbourne.
Peet Limited began developing the property in 1999 and today the residential estate is home to more than 650 households.
Sales at Brookland Greens were suspended in September 2008 in response to management issues at the neighbouring disused landfill site owned by the City of Casey.
The Council initiated urgent works and has committed more than $11 million to address the issues. A committee chaired by the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment is monitoring the works.
For details about the City of Casey's disused landfill site, visit the City of Casey or the EPA Victoria websites.
